We have the funnest surprise for you this week!! ASHLEY HESS is joining us for our Easter video. She will be sharing an arrangement of I Know That My Redeemer Lives at the end of this video that is one of the things we are most excited to share with you this Easter weekend. She also shares powerful thoughts about Jesus Christ. In this Come, Follow Me lesson we will be studying Easter, General Conference, and Jesus Christ. In case you are looking for a Christ-centered Conference and Easter idea, we have something for your weekend celebrations.
Here is what you have to look forward to this week:
To silence all my fears
To wipe away my tears
To calm my troubled heart
All blessings to impart
We love studying with you,
David and Emily

As a missionary, my companion and I were out door knocking and we found ourselves on the porch of a lady who was not at all happy that we were there. We caught her mid-meal and she was frothing food as she screamed that we were followers of Satan and every mannor of insult. I felt the prompting that I should sing “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”, acapella…right there in her yard…as we had backed down the steps. I have never aspired to be a soloist, and the lyrics could potentially be a problem – off the top of my head. I gave in to my doubts and fears and we left the ladies property. We made it to our car and I wept. I cried partly from getting screamed at but mostly for not doing the thing the Lord needed me to do. Even though this is a story about my failure, it changed me. At 21 years old, it made me look at my faith. God can use any of us to do his will. I know now that if God asks me to I open my mouth, he will fill it. I have often prayed for our sister on her porch that someone with more courage and faith would cross her path and she would still have an opportunity to feel the spirit and let go of some false beliefs. Since then I have memorize the words to this song. Thank you for today’s presentation and for Ashley’s rendition… beautiful! Thank you for helping me remember.
Thank you so much. Such a tender, powerful message of the good ness of our Savior. One of my favorite lines is “He lives to hear my soul’s complaint”. It reminds to pray and pour out my troubled heart to a loving Heavenly Father through his son and my Redeemer Jesus Christ.
