I have a son with autism. And we enjoy going to temple open houses together.
Sometimes it is awkward. A good example is when he brings his iPhone (which is the equivalent of his security blanket) in with him–right after the sister missionaries instructed we turn off all electronics before entering.
(NOTE: They always understand when I explain he is autistic.)
When we finish the tours, we always go through the pop-up visitor center. And there is always a “photo booth” of sorts.
Sometimes we get the best reactions when we take photos.
As we visited the Jordan River Temple open house, today was one of those days…
Have you been to any temple open houses?
