A Busy Year At EyeCare4Kids™

As the rancher exclaimed; “Holy Cow”!

It has been an incredibly busy year at EyeCare4Kids. We celebrated our 400,000th person helped with eye care services and free glasses; we opened a new clinic in Glendale, Arizona; we celebrated our 20th year as an organized 501(c)3, and, and opened our expanded Midvale, Utah headquarters!

This expansion will allow EyeCare4Kids to serve an additional 20,000 Utah children every year! But that is not all ! We also announced our initiative to Sight The World™ as we extend services to ‘Any Child, Anywhere’ around the globe.

We are so excited for what has happened and can’t wait to see what 2022 brings. There are 500 million children who need us worldwide and we are dedicated to helping them, one child at time. Please join us!!

How To Help

The Joy of Glasses

What We Do…

EyeCare4Kids™ is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, established for the exclusive purpose of promoting good vision and literacy. The founding mission was-and remains- to provide underserved, unserved and uninsured children with professional eye exams, vision screenings and prescription eyeglasses, at little or no cost.

This removes the barrier for families who cannot afford quality vision care. We believe all children must be treated the same; regardless of a family’s ability to pay.

Over our 20 years in the non-profit arena, we have grown to family-, school- and community-based vision clinics in four states; Utah, Nevada, New Jersey and Arizona.

We have three ‘See-More’ mobile vision clinics – an optometrist’s office on wheels – in Utah, Nevada and Arizona. EyeCare4Kids makes year trips to the four-corners area (Navajo Reservation) to assist with eye care services and our mobile clinics are scheduled a year in advance as they travel throughout school districts offering these valuable services.

Our future? We’re looking through rose-colored glasses of course to help children worldwide.

The Ribbon Cutting…

October 29th was a huge day at EyeCare4Kids as we officially opened our expanded clinic in Midvale, UT. The expansion means that EyeCare4Kids™ can help an additional 20,000 Utah children and families every year receive the eye care they need.

These underserved families simply cannot afford professional eye care. It is a moment 20 years in the making, with over 400,000 children already helped! At the ribbon cutting ceremony, EyeCare4Kids president, Board Certified Optician, Joseph Carbone said.

“Many times you can get caught up in the total number of those we’ve helped (400,000) but what matters most to EyeCare4Kids™ is continually helping ‘the one’ child or family with the gift of vision. We see miracle every single day here, and now we’ll see many more each year.”
