Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continued his fervent focus on improving the faith’s temple worship Sunday at the concluding session of the 189th Semiannual General Conference. He read an updated list of questions Church members will be asked when receiving a temple recommend. The new questions are below.
Temple recommend questions have been periodically clarified or adjusted to meet the needs and circumstances of God’s children. These current updates clarify, but do not change, worthiness requirements to enter a temple.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Temples. I remember my first time in a Temple well where I was sealed to my wife – now of 52 years. When I was a proxy for the husband – who had passed away- of a good friend and sealed for him to her. We knelt at the altar facing each other holding hands. After we were sealed she told me my eyes changed so they looked like his. Another time my wife and I were proxy parents for children who lived in the 1600s and were German. As the names were said all of a sudden I heard – in English – thank you for my daughter.
