Uh. This guys.

For all you single Mormons who are looking for someone, check out this Kickstarter for MUTUAL.

We want to give all single Mormons worldwide an easy way to connect with, meet, and date other single Mormons.

Mutual is a free dating app for LDS singles, simplifying the way Mormons meet. Since our launch last summer, we’ve experienced rapid growth. We already have tens of thousands of users and thousands more sign up each month, but the app is only available for iOS.

The goal for this Kickstarter is to raise enough money to develop Mutual for Androidβ€”and also make some cool design and feature improvements while we’re at it. Your support is making it possible for hundreds of thousands of LDS singles to improve their dating life by meeting other like-minded LDS singles that they wouldn’t otherwise meet.

Plus, donating could help you and your friends meet your Android-using future spouses.

How does it work?

Mutual is a lot like real life, but users aren’t limited by distance or their own social circles. App users get an initial impression of someone, through photos and basic info, then swipe up if they’re interested or down if they want to pass and move to the next profile. When another person is interested as well, we’ll let them know that the feeling is mutual! They can then chat and get to know their match before meeting up in person.

Unique Features

Mutual was designed to improve the world of dating apps, which is why we’ve shaken things up and added some unique features. With Mutual, users can…

  • Gauge whether someone is just down for dates or looking for a serious relationship with Mutual’s relationship readiness meter
  • Display their mission location and find out if their crush speaks a foreign language
  • Tag their profile with unique activities and interests to help other people get to know them better
  • Browse through mutual Facebook friends.

How did it start?

After graduating from Brigham Young University and moving out of Utah, Cooper Boice realized that meeting and dating people with the same values and beliefs was harder than it should be. So he and a few tech-minded friends put their heads together and built Mutualβ€”the dating app for LDS singles, designed to make it easy to find, connect with, and date other Mormons, no matter where you are in the world.
