On Thursday, April 20th, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hosted an Iftar dinner to celebrate the end of Ramadan and to honor our Muslim brothers and sisters. During the event, Elder Steven R. Bangerter, President of the Philippine Area Presidency, introduced a new 35-page pamphlet called “Muslims and Latter-day Saints: Beliefs, Values, and Lifestyles.”
The pamphlet aims to introduce Muslims and Latter-day Saints to each other and to highlight the similarities and differences in our doctrines, traditions, and practices. As Elder Bangerter stated during the event, “you will notice a commonality that draws all of us together as children of God and believers in various faith-based traditions.”
