The Columbus Ohio Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, usually closed to the public, has undergone renovations and will be open to the general public during late April and May.
After that, the temple will be closed in perpetuity as it is one of the most sacred spaces of worship and individuals must be observing the basic principles of the faith to enter.
In Ohio there are just over 63,000 members of the Church and nearly 130 congregations. Approximately 25 of these congregations are in the Columbus/Central Ohio area as of May 2023.
