Don’t you just love Christmas? Everyone turns outward towards others in love and concern.
As Dickens said:
“[Christmas is] a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys.”
As Christmas approaches, we are reminded that Jesus Christ is the βLight of the Worldβ (John 8:12).
He also has taught us that βYe are the light of the world,β (Matthew 5:14).
This Christmas, mormon.org (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints) has invited people everywhere to do the thingsΒ the Savior did while on the earth. He served others, and, like Him, if we follow in His footstepsΒ we will #LIGHTtheWORLD.
Each day leading up to Christmas, mormon.org has identified a different Christ-likeΒ behaviorΒ and provides suggestions of how we can emulate His example on that day.Β There are 25 different focus activities.

On December 1, there will be a worldwide day of service. You can serve any one in any way, large or small!
