Elder Ulisses Soares of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, along with his wife, Rosana Soares, virtually greet viewers and attendees of Family Discovery Day, one of the premier events of the RootsTech conference, sponsored by FamilySearch. Elder and Sister Soares talk about the diversity and beauty of their beloved country of Brazil, how they met as missionaries in Rio de Janeiro, their experiences witnessing the growth of the Church in Brazil, and their own personal family histories that began in Portugal and Spain and then on to Latin America. Together, they tell the stories and traditions of their families as they visit some of the special and unique places in Brazil that are very close to their hearts.
