On Tuesday, September 19, C. Shane Reese will be inaugurated as the 14th president of BYU. But if it weren’t for the early intervention of a kind mentor, President Reese’s storied BYU career might have ended before it had begun. This video tells the touching story of how a lonely and discouraged first-year student found his way at BYU with the help of a young law professor—and how two future BYU presidents were forever changed in the process.
