In Elder Dale G. Renlund’s October 2024 General Conference talk entitled “This Is My Gospel—This Is My Church”, he emphasized the interdependence of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Church. Using the metaphor of dynamite, he explained that just as nitroglycerin combined with kieselguhr creates a powerful force, the gospel, when paired with the Church, becomes transformative.

He stressed the importance of understanding both individually and as a unified force for good.

Elder Renlund also urged members to deepen their discipleship and engage in temple worship.

      2. “The gospel is perfect, but a divinely commissioned church is required to preach it, maintain its purity, and administer its sacred ordinances with the Savior’s power and authority.”
      3. “Without the Savior’s gospel and the authority to administer the ordinances thereof, the Church isn’t exceptional.”
      4. “Without the Lord’s Church, humanity’s understanding of His gospel was unstable—prone to doctrinal drift and subject to influence.”

The new temple recommend interview questions: What exactly has changed?

President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints continued his fervent focus on improving the faith’s temple worship Sunday at the concluding session of the 189th Semiannual General Conference. He read an updated list of questions Church members will be asked when receiving a temple recommend. The new questions are below. Temple recommend questions have been periodically clarified or adjusted to meet the needs and circumstances of God’s children.
