Elder Shayne M. Bowen, in his address titled “Miracles, Angels, and Priesthood Power,” delivered during the April 2024 general conference, underscored the continued presence of miracles, angels, and the accessibility of priesthood blessings within the restored Church of Jesus Christ. He shared his testimony that these divine manifestations persist in the modern era, contrary to assertions that they have ceased.

Elder Bowen emphasized the lineage of priesthood authority, tracing it back to Jesus Christ’s bestowal of keys to Peter, the chief apostle. He explained how these keys were lost after the apostles’ passing but were subsequently restored in the latter days through a succession of prophets, culminating in President Russell M. Nelson.

Highlighting the significance of priesthood blessings, Elder Bowen elucidated that through authorized priesthood keys, believers receive divine assistance and guidance. He emphasized the importance of sacred covenants and ordinances administered through the Church, which prepare individuals to dwell in God’s presence.

Elder Bowen noted that miracles, often facilitated by priesthood power, can manifest immediately or gradually, with some blessings only fully realized in the afterlife. However, he affirmed the constancy of God’s promises, reassuring listeners that His miracles unfold according to His will, timing, and plan.
