The filmmakers behind “Jane and Emma” recently announced The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Foundation and the Bonneville Charitable Foundation will match their box office sales on Friday, October 12, 2018, in a donation to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Salt Lake Branch.

“Jane and Emma” follows the story of Jane Manning, a free black woman who converted to the Church, and Emma Smith, wife to the Prophet Joseph Smith, after the martyrdom.

“Jane and Emma” opens in select Utah theaters October 12, 2018. The film’s ability to open in other states depends on how box office sales go over the opening weekend. Purchase tickets here.
