For nearly 100 years, Music & the Spoken Word has uplifted audiences with its stirring music and heartfelt messages. Now, this cherished weekly broadcast by The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square is reaching a new audience—Spanish speakers across Utah.

Starting June 15, 2025, the program airs every Sunday at 5 p.m. MDT on Telemundo Utah (channel 20), extending its 96-year legacy to thousands more homes. The Spanish edition features the Choir and Orchestra’s powerful performances alongside translated messages of hope.

“‘Music & the Spoken Word’ is the Choir’s gift of inspiration to the world,” said Choir President Michael O. Leavitt. “We’re grateful Telemundo Utah is helping us share that in a new language.”

The expansion builds on the Choir’s Spanish-language YouTube channel launched in 2023 and marks a deepening commitment to connect with Utah’s growing Latino community.

“This tradition is about inspiring hearts,” said Terry Hritz of Bonneville Distribution. “We’re thrilled to partner with Telemundo Utah to continue that mission.”

The announcement comes just ahead of the program’s 5,000th broadcast on July 13, 2025—an extraordinary milestone for one of the longest-running broadcasts in history.

As the Choir embraces this new chapter, its mission remains unchanged: sharing peace, unity, and faith—now in Spanish, too.
