As we move closer and closer to the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, more and more people around the globe are finding their attention drawn The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to members of this worldwide religion (wherever they may live), and to the center of the Church in Salt Lake City (as well as the entire state of Utah).

In fact, the prophet Isaiah wrote that in the last days “… the mountain of the LORD’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains … and all nations shall flow unto it.” (Isa. 2:1—5)

And Brigham Young (in quoting Isaiah) spoke of the remote and often desolate land known then as the State of Deseret and prophesied that Utah would one day “blossom like a rose.” 🌹

As the founder, editor and publisher of Deseret Business Watch, I am doing what little I can to draw attention to the greater business community throughout Utah, to Zion, and to the State of Deseret. In doing so, one of my hopes is that in some small way I might be able to help Latter-day Saints — from business owners to consumers — to learn about (and profit from) the successes and failures of Utah’s business community.

In a similar way, I am also hopeful that individuals everywhere may learn about ways the State of Deseret is “blossoming like a rose,” both figuratively and literally.
