Despite his heavy load of religious assignments, Thomas S. Monson, the president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, was a self-appointed chaplain for these facilities.

Thomas S. Monson, Presidente de La Iglesia de Jesucristo de los Santos de los Últimos Días, falleció el 2 de enero, 2017 a la edad de 90 años. El presidente Monson, quien ha prestado servicio como Presidente de la Iglesia desde febrero de 2008, deja atrás un legado de servicio y de buenas obras.
