As I finish my service in the Relief Society general presidency, I want to give each of you my specific gratitude. You are doing so much good! Our journey together has been filled with comments that strengthened me and made me want to improve. There is no way to quantify the impact you are having in your communities and around the world. You are magnificent ambassadors for Jesus Christ because you live your faith with your actions and share attention, kindness, respect, and mercy with so very many people.

But if we are not connected to Jesus Christ by covenants, our lives will not have the meaning we desire them to have. Jesus says, “I am the door: by me if any … enter in, [they] shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture” (John 10:9). Why go in and out? Why not just stay in the pasture once you are safely there? I think it is to bring other people with you into the safety of the enclosure. I am a witness that the Lord Jesus Christ wants your life to succeed. He wants it to be an abundant table heavy with joy and life and peace. He will help you with whatever you ask Him in faith, no matter how small. He sees you. He knows your name. You are precious to Him. He will not give you a stone when you ask for bread. His commandments, no matter how unlikely, are food for the hunger we feel inside. He is the bread. He is the door. He is the way.
