Planning to go to President Monson’s funeral today?

Funeral services will be open to the public, ages 8 and older.

No tickets are required to attend the services in the Conference Center for the late president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who died Jan. 2.

Those who plan to attend the funeral, which begins at noon, should be in their seats at the Conference Center no later than 11:30 a.m.

Seating is open and available on a first-come, first-served basis with overflow seating in the Tabernacle and Assembly Hall on Temple Square and in the Conference Center Theater.

A private burial service will be at the Salt Lake City Cemetery following the funeral.

The funeral services will be broadcast live on KSL-TV Ch. 5, KBYU Ch. 11, KSL Newsradio, BYU Radio, BYUtv, BYUtv Global, BYUtv International, Mormon Channel, Canal Mormón (Spanish) and on the church satellite system.

The services will also be streamed live on DeseretNews.com, KSL.com, MormonNewsroom.org, mormontabernaclechoir.org and LDS.org.

The church’s office buildings on the Temple Square campus will be closed Friday, including the Church Administration Building, Church Office Building, church offices housed in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the North Office Building, the Church History Museum, the Church History Library and the Family History Library.

LDS Family Services, Deseret Industries, bishops’ storehouses and production facilities between Cache County and Utah County will also be closed on Friday.

The Salt Lake Temple will remain open during normal hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church’s Humanitarian or General Missionary Fund at give.lds.org/monson.
