Paying your tithing online: print your own year-end tax statement

For those of you who pay your church donations online, there is a a setting available that will also allow you to print your year end tax statement without having to have the Financial Clerk print and mail it.

For those of you who pay your church donations online, there is a a setting available that will also allow you to print your year end tax statement without having to have the Financial Clerk print and mail it.

This is very helpful in saving the cost of printing and mailing statements that are not necessary.

To find the function>>>

Go into the tab on LDS.org>>>

elect settings from the left hand menu>>>

find this box (see below)>>>

Then click and save.

  1. I noticed this a while ago. However, here in Germany the IRS wants to see an original tax statement issued by the church itself. But in other countries it might be a very helpful feature.

  2. In order to use that function, however, one must allow the ward/stake access to an email address. Living in Utah, there is no shortage of individuals who feel the need to send out emails on a rather frequent, albeit unnecessary, basis. My ward clerk has never mailed my financial statement. I pick it up at the back of the chapel on a given Sunday in January, with everyone else in the ward.
