Emmaus Road Media has acquired the rights to The Good Samaritan, a faith-based film inspired by one of Jesus Christ’s most beloved parables. Scripture Central produced the film in late 2024.

Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, The Good Samaritan is a dramatic short film that invites viewers to reflect more deeply on compassion, mercy, and Christlike love. It received first place and audience choice awards at the International Christian Film Festival, as well as Best Music Video based on the film. It also received the Audience Choice Award at the Zions Indy Film Festival.

Following the film’s completion, creators James Dalrymple, Jon Farrell, Howard Collett, and Richard Ferguson formed Emmaus Road Media and have now acquired all rights to the project. The company is preparing the film for international distribution.

“The Good Samaritan speaks across cultures and generations,” said writer and director James Dalrymple. “It teaches us to see one another as God sees us. The film is historically grounded and spiritually meaningful, inviting viewers to live the Savior’s command to love our neighbor.”

The film joins The Parables Project, a larger initiative by Emmaus Road Media to produce compelling biblical stories in the style of The Chosen. Films in development include the feature film The Ten Virgins and an eight-part streaming series, The Prodigal Son.
