Come Follow Me Lesson Stand for the Right Acts 22-28 | July 30 - August 6 Paul’s mission to teach the gospel wasn’t easy. He was imprisoned, beaten, chained, and went through trials including a ship wreck and a snake bite. But Jesus "stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul" (Acts 23:11). Although he had many trials to face, he had faith and courage. He continued to boldly bear testimony of Jesus Christ and stand up for what he believed. Paul often shared his personal conversion story. While in prison, he told King Agrippa about Jesus Christ and the vision he had seen. He taught about Christ’s mission and resurrection. King Agrippa said, "Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian" (Acts 26:28). Paul was sent to Rome where he taught the gospel for two years. Some believed the things Paul taught, and some did not. But he continued to share his testimony "with all confidence" (Acts 28:31). Why did Paul share the story of his own conversion? How can we strengthen our own testimonies and become more converted? Who can we share our testimonies with? Quote “May we ever be courageous and prepared to stand for what we believe, and if we must stand alone in the process, may we do so courageously, strengthened by the knowledge that in reality we are never alone when we stand with our Father in Heaven.” – Thomas S.
