First presidency change

A change in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: How often has it occurred in the Mormon Church?

Tomorrow, it is anticipated that President Russell M. Nelson will become the next President and Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The President of the LDS Church is able to choose counselors to assist him in duties. Together, the President, along with his counselors, comprise the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If President Nelson were to choose counselors different than President Henry B. Eyring and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (those that assisted President Thomas S. Monson as counselors), that change in the First Presidency would be monumental in Church history.
