As the artist of this painting, “Be it Unto Me,” I think of the theme of this years #LightTheWorld campaign of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, which is “Give as He Gave.”

I can’t think of any greater gifts than God, our Heavenly Father, giving His beloved Son to the world to be the “Light of the World.”

Then our Savior Jesus Christ, gave His “Life for the World.”

And Mary, His mother, gave her “Life” in service and “Love” to Jesus, so that He would be able to fulfill his mission as a “Light unto the World.”

Let us give as He gave. #LightTheWorld
