Adassa to perform at the Light The World Giving Machines at City Creek Center
Adassa from Disney’s Golden Globe, Billboard and Oscar winning film “ENCANTO” to perform at opening of SLC’s Giving Machines

WHAT: Light The World Giving Machines are back in Salt Lake City, and will be welcomed in by voice actress, singer and songwriter Adassa.
With a simple card swipe, individuals can purchase items for people in Utah and around the world. Since 2017, $15 million has been donated through Light the World Giving Machines globally, and roughly $3.9 million from the Salt Lake City Giving Machines. The initiative is sponsored and fully funded by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, making it possible to give 100% of every donation received to the charity of choice.
This year’s effort will include 28 locations worldwide.
Kicking-off the opening of the Salt Lake City Giving Machines will be a performance by Adassa. From animation to arena performances at Madison Square Garden, Adassa is a bilingual Afro-Latin performer with a dynamic four-octave vocal range. Adassa played a principal role as Dolores in Disney’s Golden Globe, Billboard and Oscar winning film “ENCANTO.” Adassa will perform twice, once at noon for the community celebration, then later in the day at a second event.
