Happy birthday to Minerva Teichert, born #OTD in 1888! As one of few Western women in the early twentieth century to receive formal art training at the Art Institute of Chicago and at the Art Students League in New York City, Teichert dedicated her talents to painting what her teacher Robert Henri called the “Mormon story.” Her multitude of beautiful, striking works have made her one of the most beloved Latter-day Saint artists of all time.
