David Williams is a Phoenix-based photographer specializing in LDS Temple Photography, Landscape Photography and Indigenous Images of the American Southwest.
For me, I think what sets me apart from other photographers is the emotion I try to instill into my images. On my website I state “To me, life is a beautiful friction; we are surrounded with natural beauty surpassing the imagination, juxtaposed against our hectic and busy lives. My hope is to inspire others to see the beauty that was meant to inspire, motivate and heal us.” I truly believe in that statement and seek to connect with viewers on an emotional level with each image.A photograph is technically a series of lines, colors and light, but larger than that, I see a photograph as telling a story through emotion using these lines, colors and light. There is a divine nature to everything in life and many never catch the vision of why we are here. Could it be the sunrises and sunsets all over the world are meant to remind us of beauty, the beauty of who we are and who we are trying to be? And, no matter how bad our day has been, tomorrow can be a bright new day.I love to create drama in my images and the best way to do that is to use the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Some of my images have dark ominous skies, while others show pastel peaceful colors, but all will tell a story.
