It’s as easy as going to a vending machine and purchasing much needed food, clothing, sleeping bags, medicine or even chickens to a family in a developing country. Since 2017 The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been helping to fulfill the needs of others around the world through giving machines. The 2024 Light the World campaign kicked off it’s event in St. George at the Red Cliffs Mall. The machines will be in St. George for the next two weeks to allow people to purchase items to be donated to four local non-profits who help those in need in the community.
