Mike Matthews, who lives in New York, is helping his centenarian grandmother, Eileen, party in style on her 100th.

Mike writes:

Grandma Eileen turns 100 on Tuesday, Jan 10th.

As her birthday approached I pressed her to know what common questions she’s asked (as an ‘old person’ ?) and what questions allow her to share more in-depth responses.

I grabbed my camera, brought her in the kitchen and me and Beeps (aka Megan Matthews) filmed this. It’s got some nuggets in there worth sharing as we approach talking with grandparents and the elderly.

Also, her party is at Tibbetts Creek Manor Eastside on Tuesday. Come, it’s going to be weird. Like, super weird: event.pingg.com/EileenWilkinson

If you can’t attend the party, you can post a Insta/FB/Twitter message using #Eileens100th anytime and it will be on display at the party. You can watch them live here: tagboard.com/Eileens100th/search

You can also email me a 1-min video using your iPhone of your favorite Eileen story (michaelTmatthews@gmail.com). Thanks for helping celebrate the centenarian!

Last year, Mike was instrumental in helping Eileen enjoy her 99th as well. You can read more here: http://www.askgrandmaeileen.com/

So, as the Psalmist declared:

“Cast me not off in the time of old age;

“Forsake me not when my strength faileth.” (Ps. 71:9.)

And might we add . . .

“And bring me Wendy’s and Happy Socks when I hit three digits . . . .”
