OK everyone . . .
Time for some boxed breathing.
Reduce that anxiety a bit.
Slow the mind.
I’ll probably still be in a cold sweat when I wake up tomorrow to shower for church.

The nail-biting finish, BYU kicker Will Ferrin game-clinching 44-yard field goal with only four seconds remaining, was INCREDIBLE!

The fourth quarter was filled with high-stakes drama. With under two minutes remaining, BYU regained possession deep in its own territory, trailing by one point. Despite Utah’s strong defense, BYU orchestrated the pivotal drive that set up Ferrin’s clutch field goal. Earlier in the fourth, BYU had narrowed the gap with a 1-yard touchdown run by Retzlaff following a 95-yard drive, but a two-point conversion attempt was intercepted, leaving them one point short at 21-19.
At halftime, Utah held a significant 21-10 lead. BYU’s offense struggled in the second quarter, hindered by penalties and missed opportunities. The Utes dominated time of possession, with BYU’s final drive of the half cut short due to a penalty-induced clock runoff.
The third quarter saw BYU struggle to regain momentum as Utah scored 14 unanswered points, pulling ahead 21-13. BYU managed to put up a 33-yard field goal after Crew Wakley intercepted Utah’s Brandon Rose, setting up a drive that stalled in the red zone. In the first half, BYU held an initial lead with a field goal and a spectacular 96-yard kickoff return touchdown by Keelan Marion. However, Utah’s offensive prowess soon became evident, with Brandon Rose leading the Utes to three consecutive touchdown drives. Rose showcased his dual-threat abilities, passing for two touchdowns and rushing for 44 yards.

Initially, it appeared the drive had ended when BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff was sacked on fourth down at BYU’s own 1-yard line. However, a holding penalty on Utah kept BYU’s hopes alive.

Capitalizing on the second chance, BYU made key plays, including a 30-yard pass to Chase Roberts and contributions from Darius Lassiter and Hinckley Ropati, putting them in range for Ferrin’s game-winning kick.
Oh . . .
And let’s remember that the game was “stolen” by the officiating crew.
