Christmas is a time to give as Jesus gave: feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and helping the needy. Through our #LightTheWorld Giving Machines, 92 thousand people donated over $2.3 million in food, medical supplies, clean water, and more.
This Christmas season, the Tongan community came together in a historic Tabernacle fireside to honor our Savior, Jesus Christ and to help #LightTheWorld with service! Together, we collected five truckloads of blankets, clothing and canned foods for The SLC Center for Women & Children in Crisis.
Susan says: As the artist of this painting, “Be it Unto Me,” I think of the theme of this years #LightTheWorld campaign of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, which is “Give as He Gave.”
In a statement published first by LDS Living, Daniel Woodruff (Church spokesman) announced donations had exceeded $1 million dollars across the five machines located in Utah, Arizona, New York, London, and the Philippines. WATCH THE VIDEO!
