How Will You Keep Your 2012 Resolutions? [ask the readers]

New Years Resolution: 1280x720

New Years Resolution: 1280x720

This is a simple one: I just want to know what some of your New Year’s resolutions are that you’re most excited about, and what you’re going to do to make sure you stick with and keep them?

For a lot of people it’s become a big joke. I take it seriously, but I also usually fail to accomplish some. Often because I forget. Other times because some of it is outside my control. Still others its because I loose sight of the end-goal in the day-to-day stuff that will get me there.

So let’s hear it from all of you: what are the goals/resolutions you’re most excited about and what’s your plan of attack to make it more likely you’ll actually accomplish them, before 2012 is over?

I have been reading a lot of great articles on keeping track of your goals/resolutions this year so hopefully they help me to reach my goals this year! I'm still working on my resolutions but I want to read/learn more, spend more time on my passions, try to travel, experience new things, and not dwell over small drama (guess that's a lot more resolutions than I thought lol)….I found a great article of ideas to help keep these resolutions in 2012 too > http://www.skinnyscoop.com/list/larissa/best-idea

  2. I am taking things one day at a time. My focus this year is on becoming healthier and more faithful to my covenants. I want to read the entire Standard Works this year, but as I haven't even started that one, I don't hold out too much hope. :) I have been walking more and eating sensibly, so I am very excited about becoming healthier.

  3. These are both great ideas/approaches. Thank you both for sharing.

    1. I wanted to update! Today, thanks to a wonderful blessing that ended a three-week migraine, I was able to start my Scripture reading in earnest! I have been focusing on the Joseph Smith Translation, and was so buoyed up by that blessing that I have surpassed my goal for the year thus far. I've been encouraged to "glean" from the Scriptures, and focusing on the JST is helping me to do just that!
